Our Story
Our world is more connected than ever. From social media to our communities, we are able to explore global cultures and experience, appreciate, and celebrate the things that make us all unique like never before.
This idea of global cultural exploration at a local scale is the idea behind 570 Ramen. We are very proud to be able to share part of our history and our culture with you. Diverse, delicious, and fresh global cuisine isn’t just for people living in larger metropolitan areas like New York City or Philadelphia. The Scranton area is richly diverse, a place where we can celebrate and explore culture - and food - from all over the world, together.
We hope to teach you a little about the food we offer to help you understand how these flavors, textures, and colors ended up at your table right here in Dickson City from half the world away.
Authentic international cuisine, right here in NEPA
Types of Noodles
Ramen
A far cry from the dehydrated microwave noodles found in college dorm rooms everywhere, fresh Japanese ramen are thin noodles made from wheat flour, salt, water, and kansui, a form of alkaline water to regulate the acidity of the dough.
Yakisoba
Yakisoba, meaning “fried buckwheat”, are wheat-based noodles that are stir fried with freshly prepared ingredients like grilled chicken, beef, seafood, and vegetables. These noodles are firmer than the ramen noodles served in broth so they can shine among the other fresh ingredients in our stir fry.
Our Broths
Original
Our original ramen broth is a clear yellow broth created with sea salt and chicken.
Shio
This clear brown broth is made with chicken and flavored with a generous blend of soy sauces.
Miso
Cloudy and light brown in color, this broth is created using a blend of miso paste. Miso is fermented soybeans mixed with salt and koji, which is also used in making sake.
Vegetable
Our vegetable broth is created using only the freshest vegetables.
Umami, the Magic in our Broth.
Come in and enjoy a hot bowl of ramen and experience the magic of umami for yourself.
We are all familiar with the four basic flavors of sweet, sour, salt, and bitter. There is a fifth, a lesser known flavor profile called “umami” (pronounced o͞oˈmämē). Umami can best be described as the savory characteristic of broths and cooked meats. It’s that “feel good” element we often find in comfort food. Umami is a complex, elemental taste that can also be found in foods like Parmesan cheese, seaweed, miso, and mushrooms.
